Finn serial number question
« on: February 07, 2012, 09:51:48 PM »
Is there a way to determine the year of a Finn based on the serial number? I'm looking at a used T-50 model, with a Wisconsin engine and wanted to make sure that replacement parts for it are readily available. In the event that it ever needs to be worked on etc.

Yes you can determine year by serial # most of the time. A T-50 is in the "89" era. Finn can still make most of the parts some are harder to get. The engine you would have to deal with Wisconsin. Tank bearings are no problem the stub shafts can be. A lot of the pump parts are common today but some like the shims are not but can still be gotten. All in all as long as you can wait you should be able to get any finn parts needed and most of the wisconsin engine parts.
