Tank Paint inside

(1/1)

Tyler Munroe:
Hi.  New to these forums, a lot of good stuff here.  Question, I will sand blast the inside of my tank this winter, I'm looking for paint, primer or any kind of sealant that may work better than paint.  Thanks and all input welcome!

Turboguy:
Coal tar epoxy is considered the gold standard for repainting the inside of your metal tank after sandblasting.  It is an epoxy so you add hardener to the paint.  I believe Sherwin Williams is one source for it but a Google search may turn up some other suppliers.

hydroservice:
Coal Tar Epoxy is what Finn uses. It is the best we have found for immersion service

Rockdamage:
Tnemec 100% solids ... laid @ 25mils thick .
You?ll never paint it again .
