Proganics with Jet Agitation
« on: Tue May 11, 2021, 08:53:27 AM »
Wondering if anyone has sprayed Proganics from profile with a Turbo Turf Jet? I have a bunch of free bails to try. I know the label always grossly over estimates the amounts that can be used and if you have used it, did you spray it with seed directly onto the area?

I have 1 1/4" line too, I'm thinking I should be using the 1 1/2"  It gets pretty heavy at using that larger hose though and I'm a one man show normally.

If you want to give it a try I would point your jets down instead of up as they come from the factory.  We point them up to quickly break up and mix paper mulch but the Proganics is a heavier material and will settle to the bottom.  I did try it in an HS-400-XPW and it didn't spray satisfactorily.  I did think after that had I pointed the jets down it may have done just fine.

Yes we did as turbo guy suggested and turned the jets facing down in our 500 gal turbo turf unit for using proganics.
The proganics takes longer to mix up than paper and breaking up the bales is slow.  The bale buster really helps keep the floating bits wet.
We have put about two pallets worth of proganics through our machine.  It shoots well when thinner but we have not been able to close to the suggested loading rates.

On irrigated lawns the grass comes up great even without a topcoat of mulch.
