Having Trouble Getting Supplies
« on: Thu January 06, 2022, 02:58:24 PM »
Good Morning.  First I'd like to say thank you to the IAHP folks putting this site together.  I did the first class last Tuesday and really enjoyed it.  Look forward to the upcoming classes.

I have a question I was hoping the community could help me with.  I live in FAR Northern CA and I am having terrible luck locating Mulch Supplies.  I have called many places within about 300 miles of my location and I get the same answer every time.  "We can only order this by the  truckload."  Well, I don't need a truckload, just a few pallets.  I found a place in my hometown that has bales, but it's a bale I am not familiar with and have not read about or seen in my research.  I need the bales/pellets to be jet mixable.  I found a pallet of this stuff locally, but I can't seem to find much information on it, or anyone that's used it.  Does anyone here have any further information?  The local place I found it, didn't even know what jet mixing was, so they weren't much help.  Thanks in advance!

Hydrostraw is a good product but not the easiest to run through any machine, jet of paddle.  It runs pretty easy through a big machine using a tower gun but can have some clogging issues through a hose.  Of course they could have changed the formulation to make it easier to run.

You might want to call Hamilton Manufacturing.  The are in Idaho and make paper mulch.  See if they have any dealers near you.  For Pourable mulches if you are talking to any Profile Dealers ask if they have "Cover Grow" or "Seed Aid" in stock.  Those are the product names for the pourable mulches Profile makes.

I am glad you enjoyed the IAHP seminar.
