Hello,

I need to know the maximum number of hours they can work a T60 in his life.

We work with a T60 in Peru and would like to know that information.

Thanks

The answer with any brand of equipment is how well are you going to take care of it?  Longevity is directly related to routine maintenance.

I think Bowie man makes a good point.  If you clean it out well and service it regularly it will last a long time.  Running lime through it can reduce the life or at least increase service required.  Fertilizer can make a difference if you don't clean it out well but won't be too bad if you do clean it out well.  Storing it inside when not in use can help.  I think it would be hard for anyone to put an exact number on the expected life but I do see machines that guys have been using for 20 years that are still in good conditon.  I also see some machines that are not very old but seem to have had a rough life.

Hydroservice could probably give you the best answer but I am not sure there is an answer.  There are too many variables the biggest of which is how well the unit is cared for.  Another thing is the time factor.  A unit that is used 20 hours a year probalby won't have anywhere close to the life in hours as a unit that is used 1000 hours a year.  The later might not last as many years but probably will last far more hours.

Both Turbo guy and Bowie man have just about explained it all. We have had T-60's with 2000 hrs on them, some of the bigger diesel machines 10000-12000 hrs. I have also seen T-60's with 800 hrs that are all done. Generally a diesel engine is going to last longer then gas but that is a very general statement. If you do a lot of seeding I would look at a T-90 as they have the kubota diesel. Moderate to light seeding the t-60 or T-75 will last many years if taken care of.

I have a 1989 Finn T-300 and a 2001 Finn T-90 Both are in great condition and work consistently as thats all I do is hydroseed. The T-90 is stored inside and both machines are cleaned and dried out after every job. Maintenance is the key to longevity.

Are you looking for anything special?  Any options such as hose reel (electric or hydraulic) gear or centrifugal pump, one or more discharge cannons (or towers)?

Will you be applying BFM, wood, cellulose, straw, etc?  Do you want gears / belts or hydraulic drive components for your augers?

At present we operate two Bowie 3000 and one Finn 2000 and three other older machines from 500-1500 gal. We pump BFM, Hydromulch using paper pulp, sugar cane mulch, defibrillated wood fibre and Enviroguard. We also pump Hydrocompost MatrixTM. So we need high end equipment, most of our machines operate six days per week, are based up to 500km from our depot and work on difficult construction site environments. We find we can add accessories, like hose reels, locally for less than half the price US manufacturers want. We also want stainless steel. We are open to proposals from any manufacturer who can meet our needs, both quality, design and price. We have been tempted by offers from Asia, ie three x 3000gal machines complete ready to run for $100,00 delivered to Australia. We can go down that road and throw them away after several years, but we do like to invest in quality.
