Finn t 90 pump seal replacement
« on: Sat June 02, 2018, 09:59:25 PM »
2015 finn t 90 its going through grease daily on pressure lubricator. I know pump can be taken apart but id like to do it right and replace shaft and all the seals. Can i throw some seals on the old shaft to slow down the leaking? To busy right now to tear down machine. Does the automatic lubricator using this much grease wear on anything on pump? Roughly 800 hrs on machine. Looking to see how much of a job it is to replace these seals.

Based upon your description, the ceramic seal for the pump may be shot.  Happens with age and lack of lubrication.

Part # 6443 is the mechanical seal assembly and # 6444 is the grease retainer seal.

Call your Finn dealer (HydroGrass Corp) and talk to them.

I dont have experience with that new of a machine but my old finn pump that was all rusty was not hard at all to completely rebuild, if you have a bit of mechanical abilities. Also if you have a motion industries around you they normally have guys that can match up seals and have them for you next day. I completely rebuilt mine bearings, seals with there products.
