Measuring square footage
« on: Tue March 30, 2021, 05:10:08 PM »
Hi everyone,

I?m brand new to hydroseeding. This probably sounds like a ridiculous question, but how is everyone measuring the square footage for quotes? I?m wondering if there is a good app that can pace out the area. I?m terrible at math, so I?m hoping there is an easier than using a roller and doing geometry. Thanks in advance!

I know there are a few people use but I have never tried one myself.

Here is a free one you might check out.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.Distance.Measure_and_Calculator&hl=en_SG

You can also measure a property using google maps.   Just zoom in using the satellite view, right click and it will pull up a list with the bottom option being "measure".  You then just click all the spots outlining the property and it will give you the sq. footage.

Thank you I appreciate that. I?ve tried google earth. I was just looking for a tool or app that would measure out the area while you walked it. Apparently no such thing exists.

I haven't heard of anything but anything is possible.  If I come across anything I will post it.
